What do you do with the radiator you have got in your bathroom? Come to that, what about the radiators you have all around your home? Do you leave them attached to the wall to view, or do you cover them with clothes or towels to get them dry?
Most of us would admit to using our radiators for drying off towels or other items, particularly in the winter when the weather is cold and we can’t hang things outside.
But are radiators purely for drying things and heating our homes, or do they have another purpose as well?
We are living in modern times now, and as such it would seem that radiators are steadily taking on another purpose. A quick search for radiators of all types and styles online will reveal that there is a whole new range of radiators available that are becoming more and more popular.
When people decide to redo their bathrooms they often think about buying a new radiator as well. But why buy one that looks exactly the same as the old one? Why not go for something slightly different instead?
Step in designer radiators – and there are plenty of them to look at as well. Designer radiators will still heat your home, but you won’t want to cover them up with towels so you can’t see them! The whole idea behind designer radiators is that they are there to be seen. Instead of having a radiator that looks ugly but is there through necessity, you will have a radiator that is there to look good.
There are quite a few manufacturers who make these designer radiators now too, so there is no doubt that you should find something you like to install in your home. It is interesting though to see that people are starting to think about their radiators in a different way than they did in the past.
It used to be merely a practical thing, rather than something that should be looked at and appreciated. But when you think about it, it makes sense that it should be modernised in this way. Every other aspect of our homes is modernised to some extent and it makes perfect sense for an item that doesn’t look too good to be made a lot more attractive if possible!
You will soon find that you need to up your budget for these radiators though, as they are understandably more expensive than the standard kind. While they are still made en masse for the most part, a lot more work goes into the design and creation of them. Other materials may also be used, so you need to bear this in mind.
So is it time to bring your radiators in from the cold and make them designer radiators for a change? If it is, start having a look round on the internet now to see what styles and designs are available. You might just find something you love.
