No Need For Radiator Paint With A Designer Radiator

Friday July 16, 2010

Cheap standard radiators may be a lot cheaper than a designer radiator, but there is no doubt which one will look the best for the longest. If you have tatty old radiators in your house now, why not think about revamping your house in a way that will really catch the eye?

When your existing radiators have seen better days, it can be tempting to buy some radiator paint to paint them with. This in theory will give them a new and better finish. But while it might be better than it looked before, any radiator painted with this special paint will not beat the look of a designer radiator.

And because designer radiators are always made to a high specification, you won’t have to worry about the horror of painting them in the future either. Provided you keep them in good condition – which is not difficult to do – you will end up barely having to touch them.

When you have chosen your designer radiators and you finally have them delivered to your home, make sure you unpack them carefully and look for any care instructions they may have with them. It is easy to keep them looking good but you may damage them if you wipe them over with the wrong thing. Generally speaking a quick wipe or polish should be all you ever have to do with them, but check the instructions to be on the safe side.

Remember too that because of the nature of a designer radiator it will tend to be the focal point in any room you go into. You will instantly see it no matter what position it is in. It could be tall and thin or long and low, mounted just above the skirting board. But whatever it looks like it will certainly catch the eye, so you want it to be looking as good as possible.

The only room in which more regular cleaning could be required is in the bathroom. This is because of the water and steam that is constantly present in the room. If you don’t wipe it over more regularly you could end up with water stains that are more difficult – but not impossible – to remove.

In the end you won’t have to think about the prospect of radiator paint for any of these radiators. They are designed to be a real feature – and they will always live up to that need.
