Not Just The Radiator – How Additional Items Can Be Modernised Too

Wednesday August 19, 2009

So have you decided which brand new radiator you want to have in your bathroom yet?

It’s a big decision to make, and yet choosing a designer radiator can often be the best choice. This is because you will have a real focal point in your room that really looks like part of it, instead of just being there because you need it to be.

But don’t forget about the accessories as well. When you have a designer radiator you don’t just want to stick with the same old pipes and valves, because they will look even more out of place next to the brand new radiator you have just bought. Instead, make sure you have a look for some thoroughly modern valves to go along with it. You may not notice them all the time, but you will certainly notice them if you don’t buy them and stick with the old ones!

When you are out and about – or indeed when you are online – and looking for your ideal designer radiator, take a look at all the valves as well. You will often find that each one has its own unique set of valves that match the radiator itself. But these aren’t always on the same page as the radiator, and because you often have to buy the valves separately you don’t always think about getting them.

But make sure you do have a look. A good idea is to search online for the name of the radiator you like. This should bring up all the products under that name. For ease of use and for searching purposes, most manufacturers will use the same name for the valve as they do for the radiator. You shouldn’t have any problems finding them this way.

As with the designer radiators themselves, you will generally find that the valves are available in a number of different finishes. They may also be square, round or any other style, so they match in with the radiator itself. As such, these valves can truly be turned into something of a work of art, instead of something that generally can look very dull indeed!

As you can see, the styling of these valves is just as important to get right as the styling of the radiator. When you are searching for something you like, you might find that you spot a valve that looks good before you spot anything else. You can then have a look at the associated radiator and see whether that takes your fancy as well.

Most modern bathrooms would benefit from having a brand new designer radiator fitted in them. But as you can see, that modern look extends to the additional items that are needed to install it as well. Have you found something you like yet, or will you end up with a great radiator and average looking valves to go with it?

Why not start looking now if you haven’t already bought something?
